|Ādi-līlā||Chapter 10: The Trunk, Branches and Subbranches of the Caitanya Tree|
Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta Ādi 10.76
gopīnātha siḿha — eka caitanyera dāsa
akrūra bali' prabhu yāńre kailā parihāsa
gopīnātha siḿha — Gopīnātha Siḿha; eka — one; caitanyera dāsa — servant of Lord Caitanya; akrūra bali' — famous as Akrūra; prabhu — the Lord; yāńre — whom; kaila — did; parihāsa — joking.
Gopīnātha Siḿha, the thirty-eighth branch of the tree, was a faithful servant of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. The Lord jokingly addressed him as Akrūra.
Actually he was Akrūra, as stated in text 117 of the Gaura-gaṇoddeśa-dīpikā.
